Latest news shows the highest suicide rate in South Korea among the members of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development. Entertainers Lee Eun-Joo who committed suicide in 2005 and Choi Jin-Sil who died in 2008 and Park Yong-Ha in 2010. Due to extortion, cheating, stress etc.

Do we have a Korean-speaking member who could do translation? Probably we can ask Ajahn Brahm's permission to translate "Opening the Door of Your Heart" into Korean language.

Today, i read in the papers of a lady who committed suicide. Her husband fall to his death during their wedding night last year. She was suicidal ever since that day and now it materalised. She was probably in a very confused state of mind at that time.

I think the buddhist teaching is very very meaningful during such crisis. The SOS is a key organisation to offer their helping hands, but is unable to provide guidance/teachings related to "religon". Perhaps it is not right during such difficult period of time.

There is about 1 suicide a day in Singapore.

So where and how we can fit in ? I am still trying to findout.

The case you stated sounds like Kamma is at work, in a very unpredictable manner.

Perhaps we could improve our Group Kamma. By preserving it, and not destroying it. We could spread the Dhamma to our dear ones and friends and hopefully, it spreads beyond.
