The coming BF Executive Club is on Thursday 4th February '10 and the details are attached.

 

The speaker is Tan Kah Tee and the topic is "Money (not) Matters.".

 

 

Synopsis:

Are you making effective financial decisions? 

 

How to choose your insurance plan? How to make wise investment decisions?

 

What should your response be in the current market? Is understanding risks and returns good enough and

why investment education is crucial to equip you with the skills needed to make informed decisions.

This workshop will help you to understand the investment products that are suitable for your needs and

if they match your risk appetite so as to empower you to take greater responsibility for your investing decisions.

 

 

Speaker:

Tan Kah Tee graduated from the London School of Economics with a bachelor's degree in economics with honours in 1973.

He pursued a second degree in actuarial science at the City University in London and graduated in 1980.

After obtaining his second degree, he worked in an insurance broking firm in London for a few years. In 1984, 

he returned to Singapore and joined Asia Life's actuarial department. He became general manager in the 1990s and 

was appointed chairman of Asia Insurance in 2004. Asia General Holdings was sold in 2007 for just under $1 billion to Japan's Tokio Marine & Nichido and

renamed TM Asia. Kah Tee is comfortably retired and pursuing music, his first love. He takes weekly cello lessons and is an accomplished pianist.
