Bhikkhuni Upekkha
Bhikkhuni Upekkha, a Singaporean citizen, received her monastic training at Yuan Guan Buddhist College in Taiwan for two years. Though originally trained as a Mahayana Bhikkhuni, she has since been learning the Theravada Forest Practice under Ajahn Sujato for the past one year.   Being the only long-term, fully ordained Bhikkhuni at Santi Forest Monastery (Australia), she plays an exemplary role to female novices and Anagarikas who are training to become fully ordained Bhikkhunis – a revival of the lineage that was broken in the Theravada tradition sometime around the 10th century.

She has done the Indian pilgrimage twice.

Samaneri Anālayā
An Australian citizen of Irish and Australian parentage, Samaneri Anālayā was raised as a Roman Catholic and lived in Perth most of her life.

In 2004, she became a Buddhist after being introduced to meditation and hearing Ajahn Brahm's Dhamma talks in Perth. After her first retreat in 2005 with Ajahn Brahm, she decided that she wanted to devote the rest of her life to practice of Dhamma. She took leave from her job in 2006 to do volunteer work, including helping Ajahn Brahm coordinate the 2006 Global Buddhism Conference. She resigned from her job in 2008 and spent the Rains retreat at Santi Forest Monastery. Soon after she became an anagarikā at Santi and took samaneri ordination in February 2010 with Korean-trained, Australian nun Chi Kwan Sunim as preceptor and Bhante Sujato as her teacher.
